Freelance Data Warehouse Developer
As a freelance data warehouse developer at Nordea, I worked on-site in Copenhagen within a four-man DWH team to further develop and rebuild an internal data warehouse for infrastructure and operations. The purpose was to create a data foundation for internal billing and internal cost allocation of IT services—including data relating to Remedy and charging—and my delivery was primarily backend development in an Oracle environment with ETL and handling of complex datasets.
Other parameters: Scope: Full time; Employment type: Freelance; Work style and location: 100% on-site in Copenhagen.
The task involved further developing and rebuilding an internal data warehouse for infrastructure and operations, where the goal was to create a data foundation used for internal billing and internal cost allocation of IT services, involving data related to Remedy and charging.
My delivery was primarily backend development in an Oracle environment, where ETL and transformation logic had to handle complex datasets, and where changes had to be implemented in a way that fit into an existing solution—supporting new needs without breaking what already functioned.
To support internal billing and cost allocation, data needed to be gathered, structured, and made consistent, allowing consumption and costs to be linked to relevant services, thereby making the billing foundation coherent and usable.
The work was delivered within a four-man DWH team with close coordination, where tasks were solved within the team, focusing on getting changes safely into operation in an environment that was in continuous use.
